Wayside Album Release Party

Twin Cities alt rock nobodies celebrate the release of their new Album, Dusk to Dawn! With friends of old and new – a celebration of Twin Cities music and comedy. Hosted by Wayside & MJ Matheson (Comedian) with music from Wayside, Consolation Champ, Phantom Fields, and Brynn Arens of Flipp!

Beyond a night of Rock and Roll and Comedy, the artists involved are excited to partner with the non-profit organization Avenues For Youth. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to this wonderful organization.

The mission of Avenues for Youth is to partner with youth experiencing homelessness to achieve their dreams. For over 30 years, Avenues has supported youth aged 16 to 24 in the Twin Cities Metro of Minnesota — helping them transition from merely surviving to thriving as young adults. Whether a young person needs a place to stay for just one night or for an entire year, Avenues provides youth with the tools to find their path out of homelessness. We do that by providing a stable home, building trusting relationships, and supporting youth in navigating toward self-identified goals.

Avenues operates four housing programs – emergency shelter, transitional housing, host home, and young families rapid rehousing – that work to break the cycle of youth housing instability.

Last year, Avenues provided support, housing, and resources to over 300 youth, with 90% identifying as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color, and 41% identifying as LGBTQI+. These populations are overrepresented among youth experiencing homelessness. Most youth arrive at Avenues from the seven-county Twin Cities Metro area, with over 80% from Hennepin and Ramsey Counties. Some youth arrive from communities outside of the Twin Cities and other states.
