Rock Melon w/ Fiona Hayes & Despondent

Rock Melon – Zach Nelson (Bass), Elzie Bieganek (Vocals), Erin Moore (Vocals), Ryan Mitchell (Guitar), Syan Blackwood (Drums), and Izzy Montgomery (Guitar) make up Rock Melon, a beach pop band from St. Paul. Known for their DIY approach, Rock Melon has steadily made a name for themselves, playing live shows across the Twin Cities. In just a short time, they’ve built a loyal following, especially with their breakout single, “Eucalyptus,” which has garnered over 8,000 streams. Since late 2022, they’ve consistently released music, and plan to release their sophomore album, Storming The Manor in 2025.

Fiona Hayes is a young musician from Saint Paul, MN. Taking inspiration from female-led 90’s alt rock and riot girl attitudes, she blends her powerful, unique voice and signature harmonies with gritty, unflinching guitar and bass riffs. When she isn’t playing her solo shows, Fiona fronts the alt-rock metal band, Gossamer. Her debut singles “It’s Not Me, It’s You” and “Cry About It” are scheduled for release on April 18th & May 30th of this year.

Despondent is a Minneapolis-based indie rock band – we play sad songs. fronted by Nora Button (Caution) – despondent started after Nora relocated from D.C to Minneapolis. the current lineup is Bridget Collins (Absolutely Yours) on bass, Joe Cristo (The Vanity Project) on guitar, and Sam Franklin (Rancor) on drums. our music feels like a quiet conversation under heavy skies—longing, aching, melancholic.
